Frizzy Curls? Use a diffuser to dry your hair... here's how!

Diffuse your curls!
The purpose of a hair diffuser is to dry your curly locks without moving the hair too much which can cause that fried or frizzy look which is what happens when you use your standard hair dryer.
1.  Take the hair diffuser attachment and attach it to the front end of the hair dryer. You should be able to fit it on easily, though you may need to press it down firmly to get the attachment to stay on.
2: Move the hair dryer with the diffuser upwards and place the diffuser on the top of your head. You want to first focus on the roots of your hair when using the diffuser.
3: Turn on your hair dryer and begin to dry your hair with the hair diffuser. You will want to keep the hair dryer on either a low or medium setting, as a high setting will create too much force and cause frizzes.
4: When moving the hair diffuser around your head.  Be sure that you are making circular motions around your head. This only further helps evenly distribute the heat of the air around your head.  If you want to intensify your curl, scrunch your hair at the same time.
5: When your roots are 90% dry move the diffuser down to the ends of your hair. You can help encourage the development of the curls by scrunching your hair as you dry it.
6: To really give your hair a quick shot of volume, flip your head upside down and then focus on moving the diffuser to the roots of your hair. This will really give your hair a lot more lift and a lot more volume.  For less volume, only dry your hair until it is about 80% dry.  Then let the rest air dry.
To help eliminate frizz and define curls, it is important to use a good curl cream, gel or spray.  There are many types of curly hair so therefore many different types of curl products.  Not every curly girl can use the same curl products as the other.  Ask your stylist what products she would recommend for you and in the mean time keep your curls hydrated by using a moisturizing, sulfate free shampoo and conditioner.
